I am an ASL interpreter and have been interpreting, on and off, for 25-plus years. A little about myself, when my second child came into the world she had chronic ear infections, and the answer according to doctors, was tubes. As a young mother, I agreed. Hearing her eardrums had a 50/50 chance of collapsing and she would be totally deaf, I didn’t want to be the mom that couldn’t communicate with her child. So I started interpreting training classes. I learned how to sign and taught all 3 of my kids. As it be, God used this and turned it into a ministry, and here I am today. I love interpreting for the Deaf community and advocating for them, especially for Deaf/deaf children.
